About Us
Love Is All We Need is a young, fun and vibrant charity (reg. no. 1116963), run entirely by volunteers. It is the brainchild of Londoner Marion Ancker. The idea was born when she was doing volunteer work in South Africa. Marion was teaching in a severe poor community, heavily affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This became an inspiration and the drive. Soon after her return to London, she collected old computers from friends and local businesses in aid to establish an Education Centre. It became clear how a little love and commitment can make a huge difference.
Establishing Love Is All We Need was the next step in making that difference. This inspiration has brought together a team of sixteen ordinary Londoners with full time jobs contributing their time and passion with the vision to make a difference by empowering people, who are struck by poverty, to create a life they love with a prosperous future.
Currently we are supporting two projects in South Africa: The Hope Centre, a refuge for children and adults affected by HIV/AIDS. And the Mdumbi Education Centre which is training young people currently stuck in cycle of poverty and disadvantage, to move beyond and to create a prosperous life for themselves and their family.
Aims and Objectives
The relief of any charitable need and in particular the relief of poverty and the advancement of education in the United Kingdom and overseas.
